Amaya Estrada, born in Northern Virginia, lives and works in South Florida. She received her BA from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Her work acts as a vessel of exploration into cultural identity and duality through the scope of sculpture, painting, and print media. Unearthing the tension between environmental art and handmade processes, the work speaks to a personal and environmental displacement where the two are intricately associated.
Selected exhibitions include Black Creativity at the Boynton Beach Art & Cultural Center, Amaya Estrada: Apathy at Grandview Public Market in West Palm Beach, FL.
